Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not upon your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path.” (~ KJV Ad)
When Grace Place and Ukraine Orphan Outreach began to coordinate this missions trip to Ukraine in December of last year, it was originally for the purpose of beginning the physical labor necessary to open our House of Grace transition home.   As time passed, our primary focus shifted to orphan outreach. We are now in our 7th month of planing this trip and I feel very satisfied with the direction it is going. It has become apparent to me that God hand selected this team of individuals.  We now have a total of 11 missionaries, plus, our missionary translator in Ukraine which totals a team of 12.  It is bound to be a life changing event for all of us as we each continue to pursue Gods heart for the fatherless.  One of the most exciting progression of plans came with the coordinated efforts and financial support of Grace Place Missions, UOO, and Pastor Leonid in Kramatorsk, Ukraine.   Through this collaboration, we are now hosting a camp for 50 orphans and children from very hard places. When I say children from very hard places, these are children who are about to become orphans.  These are children who in most cases will be much better off in orphanages vs. their current living circumstances;  witnessing and experiencing violence, abuse, hunger, alcoholism and poverty.  As I have been told by other orphans, the transition from a home into an orphanage is a very scary place because they have no idea what the future will be for them.   It is in this in-between place, that we will show them Gods love and give them a hope. We have done what we can to prepare for this trip and now it is in the hands of a loving God who has said in John 14:18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”  We believe God is orchestrating and opening doors we never could have imagined as we reach out to orphans and build relationships in Ukraine. Please continue to pray for our team and the mission He has for us.

Blessings,

Christopher Green
