Extreme Transition Home Make Over
Ukraine Orphan Outreach is transitioning into a more “on the ground” approach focusing energy and resources into the further development of aged out orphans in Ukraine. We are now in the process of continuing with another transitional home in Ukraine. This helps aged out orphans learn life skills that support them as they pursue higher education that can give them a degree or trade school education.

They learn independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and wisely taking care of property and possessions. The goal is to show them the love of Christ through supporting them in all aspects of their life, just as parents would; making sure they go to medical appointments, provide legal help, encourage them with homework and school attendance and assist them in job searching opportunities and daily devotion. Without these types of intervention from outside organizations the statistics are staggering.

Orphan statistics

• Orphans “graduate” at the age of 16
years old and are left to fend for themselves
• 10% -15% of orphans commit suicide
after leaving the orphanage before their
18th birthday
• 60% of the girls end up in prostitution
• 70% of the boys end up in crime.
Description of House
The home sits on a large lot and the size of
the house is approximately 1,000 square feet
with 6 rooms. The home is in need of renovation
and fix up, a Ukraine Home Makeover!

Future:
• Greenhouse and small barn for sustainable living.
• Add addition bedroom on back side of house for more space.
Ours is a typical Ukrainian village home in the Donetsk oblast.
