Below are different fundraisers that we have been working on. Some are ongoing (like the t-shirts) and others we are reporting the successes!

Ukrainian Magnets $1 Donation
Bookmarks $ .50 Donation
Designed by Angelica, a teenager from Ukraine, who desires to help her country and her people!
Angelica was adopted a little over 5 years ago from the Donetsk region of Ukraine. She remembers all too well the scary times of Russia occupying her birth city of Kramatorsk back in 2014. She remembers being taught at the orphanage to watch for land mines and practicing safety drills. She was at an orphanage in Kramatorsk before being moved to Emerald City where she stayed until her new forever family came to take her home. She was 12 years old when Christy and Jason, practically strangers to Angelica, came to ask if she wanted to be adopted into their family of 4 biological children. Even though she did not know her new family, she knew she wanted to be rescued into safety and love.
In February, when Russia invaded Ukraine again, Angelica struggled with feelings of guilt and worry for her friends and family in Ukraine. She knows that the orphanage she called home was near a military base and was not that safe for the hundreds of orphans who live there. She was having nightmares and told her mother that she wished she were in Ukraine to help her people. One morning as her mother was praying, God gave her an idea to make magnets of the Ukrainian flag and sell them for donations. This was a creative way for Angelica to help her country and her people from a distance. Angelica loved the idea and got to work immediately designing magnets with the Ukrainian flag and sayings in Ukrainian and English. After Angelica’s grandma started mass production of the magnets, Angelica started designing bookmarks as well.
Angelica’s mom started calling around to ask businesses if they would be willing to display the magnets and bookmarks. We hoped to raise $300 for Ukraine Orphan Outreach. To date, $1,029.50 has been raised and there are still businesses who have magnets and bookmarks. If you are interested in supporting this fundraiser, please visit one of the following locations where there are magnets and bookmarks:

10-DAY ART AUCTION: “FREE UKRAINE”
PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT UKRAINIAN ORPHANS
ATLANTA, Georgia – Atlanta-based Artist, Travis Love, has commissioned a work of art entitled: “Free Ukraine.” 50% of the proceeds received for the commission will be donated to Ukrainian Orphans via the Ukraine Orphan Outreach (U.O.O), a non-profit organization in Northern Colorado.
The art auction will be hosted via eBay and will go live at noon, on Thursday, April 14th. U.O.O. See, Link to auction below. Executive Director, Kris Stoesz, has been an advocate for Ukrainian’s orphaned and vulnerable children since the organization was founded by she and her husband, Clarke, in 2008. They are the adoptive parents of 4 Ukrainian children. “We are focusing on love, not hate, and have broadened our mission statement to include providing for the triage and needs of the Ukrainian elderly, single parents, and anyone else in immediate need” Stoesz said. “100% of our proceeds go to Ukraine. The horrific war stories and news reports are overwhelming, but our organization is committed to finding a balance to help all citizens of Ukraine.”
By creating this unique work of art, Love is seeking to make a significant financial donation to U.O.O. He is especially motivated to help the children of Ukraine that have been orphaned by the separation from or death of their family and loved ones.
“I felt compelled to create a piece depicting the eyes of a Ukrainian child witnessing his home being decimated,” says Love. “The butterflies surrounding the child’s face are representative of the Ukrainian nation’s desire to fly free from the oppression, capitalism, and greed that is being cast upon them by Russia.”
Travis Love is a graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta and works as an independent Artist, Director, and Designer. He is most recognized for his bold use of color and composition through his unique interweaving design, which represents togetherness and unity through abstract shapes. His portfolio includes commissioned art works and projects with Adidas, AT&T, Life WTR, and McDonalds. www.travislove.com
