Camp Needs and Photos of the Children

Camp is getting closer and everyone is getting very excited. We just wanted to let you know of a few outstanding needs. Please consider how you can help! Also, we have pictures of the children coming to this year’s camp … read on to get to the link!

For the Community Dinner

We need the following food for the community dinner on July 11. Please contact Heidi Rogé if you can help with this need.

• 8 lbs. ground beef
• 8 lbs. ground pork
• 5 lbs. onions
• 11 heads of cabbage
• 12 cups of uncooked rice, washed and drained
• 8 cans of tomato juice (48 oz. each)
• 6 aluminum, disposable roaster pans

Also needed for the community dinner:

• At least 10 additional heads of cabbage for borscht and cole slaw
• Bread
• Sheet cakes
• Coffee
• Iced tea mix
• Lemonade mix

Food for the Kids During Camp

There are still MANY open slots for meals for the kids during camp. You can either bring the meal yourself, donate food or donate money for the food. Please contact Kari Volf if you can help with this need.

M&M’s – Quarters for a Cause

UOO is giving away FREE tubes of mini M&M’s as a spring fundraiser.  We ask that after you enjoy your yummy candy to return the tube to UOO filled with Quarters!   Please call or email us and we will get you as many tubes of M&M’s as you would like!  Thank you for your help !

Crafts, Cooking, Coffee & Cards

We are looking for help with all of them!  We hope you can pick one way to help with the 4C’s.  See below with how you can get plugged in. Something for everyone! If you have any questions, please email or call us.

Crafts

We are working on supplying craft supplies for orphans in Ukraine.  Please see list below and contact us if you can donate items. If you would like to donate money specifically to help with the crafts, please donate to UOO through “Just Give” or send a check via snail mail. The craft collection drive will end Feb 26th, 2010.

Craft Sticks- large size (300)– these are those large tongue depressor things…we use them for lots of games. You can usually get them in bulk or perhaps from some kind doctor who wants to donate a lot of them!

• Fuse beads (2 containers)
• Water balloons (several bags)
• Glitter (several large jars of different colors)
• Colored glue (elmers style- 4-8)
• Scrap booking paper of different styles
• Stickers- any kind
• Balls (basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs- we can always give these away at orphanages)
• Foam sheets (for crafts)
• White canvas bags…. (100 or so)

Buy Coffee … Help Orphans

Just Love Coffee Roasters and UOO are teaming up. Any purchase of coffee from the website will help provide funds for Ukraine Orphans. $5.00 per bag will be given to our camp funds.
