Saturday night was our 2nd annual Talent Show. We like to call it the “not so talent” Talent show to encourage participation by whom ever would like! The evening started off with a great potluck dinner for over 100 people, it was so wonderful to see so many new faces. The list of entries was slowly adding up during the meal time and the show was ready to began. I started it off with the goofy “Chicken Dance” (or is it the Duck dance?) playing a few rounds on my accordion to get the crowd going and to break the ice! From there the night was filled with dancing, singing (including Ukraine, English and French songs!), skits, acrobatics and a marshmallow contest with the kids! The kids lined up to see if they could beat the defending champions number of marshmallows that were shoved into a mouth! Last year Josh was able to shove in 11-12. This year our new champion is Nadia Roge with a total of 13 marshmallows in her mouth! The highlite of the evening was when the camp kids joined Ben and Bridgett on stage to sing a few songs they learned up while camping! Then we were all amazed when Sasha V. decided to participate in his own “talent” of walking on his hands for several minutes on stage and then flex his muscles to show us his strength! It was a wonderful night and enjoyed by all who were able to come and watch, perform and hang with the kids! Thank you goes to Jonathon Neuhalfen for running the sound board and to Grace Place church for letting us use 5 Stones Student Center!
